Recipe - Ciabatta Sandwich
Ciabatta is an Italian-originated bread known for its chewy texture and spongy interior, its influences were inspired by the French Baguette but only with a shorter, broader and flatter shape.
Known as the "slipper" bread because of its elongated, flat & oval shape that resembled that of a well worn slipper, its popularity is also due to the fact that it is versatile when it comes to how it's enjoyed.
As an appetizer dipped in a magical concoction of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, toasted and spread with butter, as a sandwich or even served with soup, there's no doubt that Ciabatta is a favorite among bread lovers.
And the best part, it's relatively easy to make!
Breads and rolls are too overrated? Using the same ingredients with an additional butter, why not turn it into snack-sized bites instead?
